www.ckdmedia.ng can report that the sports loving governor of Bayelsa state, his excellency Duoye Diri has rewarded Team Nigeria Olympics Silver medallist, Blessing Oborududu with 4million naira for being the first grappler to win an Olympics medal for the nation.
The Bayelsa state government has been the major backer and sponsor of the nation's wrestling team.
The likes of Blessing Oborududu and others were beneficiaries of the "Adop A Athlete" program by the state.
You will recall that, Governor Diri also splashed the cash on the male and female football teams for wining the Aiteo cup recently.
