Nobody saw it coming, that Gernot Rohr will not take the Super Eagles to AFCON 2022. Barely two months to Nations Cup, his journey with the Super Eagles was cut short by the incessant pressure from football lovers, stakeholders and even some of the board members of NFF.
It was glaring that there was no hiding place for the Franco-German coach over the topsy-turvy performances of the Eagles of late.
