Trouble looms for the NPFL side, Plateau United as World Football Governing Body, FIFA is set to stop the Jos based team from registering new players ahead of the forthcoming CAF Champions League over their conduct.
Recall that at the start of last season, both Samuel Mathias and Alex Aghahowa signed two years deal with the Jos team and both players were placed on the clubs' payroll on official contracts. “I know I have an existing contract with the club and that means I remain a player of the club", the player concluded.
According to Article 4 of FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, clubs who breach existing contracts will be hammered with a transfer ban to register new players and a wholesome fine.
According to inside sources, Plateau United will be given an ultimatum to pay up the players their salaries left or face the hammer of FIFA.
