Nigerian rock solid defender Kenneth Josiah Omeruo has officially been appointed captain of Turkish Super Lig side, Kasimpasa FC.
The 30 year old who is on his third spell with the Istanbul-based side will now have the honours of wearing the illustrious club's leadership armband. He was on loan to Kasimpasa in the 2015/2016 season and amassed 25 caps that season.
In the 2017/2018 season, he returned to the same ground again, and helped the club, after he had penned a three-year deal with Chelsea FC. He left Turkey for a permanent deal with leganes in Spain.
He rose up through the ranks to become captain at CD Leganes, and in the summer of 2023, he renewed ties with Kasimpasa on a permanent basis.
The Turkish outfit becomes the second European club that Kenneth will be captaining. Kasimpasa are currently 5th on the log and will be aiming to finiish amongst the European places this season.
