Super Eagles and Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi has charged his senior national teammates to fight to the very end to qualify for the 2022 world cup in Qatar.
The three times Africa champions was drawn against Liberia, Cape Verde and Guinea Bissau.
Akpeyi believes that the Super Eagles can rise to the occasion at all times.
“We’ve been good on continent and it’s a fresh start for a world cup ticket chase,”
Akpeyi told www.ckdmedia.ng that having beaten Liberia in Lagos, the Cape Verde game gives another opportunity to earn another win away from home.
“So, we’re looking forward to making sure we win all our matches and this away game wont be an exception".
The number 1 Super Eagles goalkeeper who is one of the longest serving national team's players is confident that Cape Verde won't pose a threat to Super Eagles world cup ambition.
“So, it’s very important we win this away game against Cape Verde because there is nothing God can not do, "every win motivates us towards the next one, but obviously we have to start with one,” he added.
