D'Tigress gets France, Mali, China in World Cup Qualifying Draws

Nigeria Female Basketball team, D'tigress will face France, China and Mali in Group B of the 2022 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup qualifying tournaments in February 2022 following the draws held in Geneva, Switzerland on Tuesday.

Ranked 16th in the world in the latest FIBA ranking, Coach Otis Hughley side will slug it out in Belgrade against France who are currently 5th in the world ranking and China 7th in the world.

The D'tigress will also square up against rival Mali, having defeated them 70 – 59 to emerge champions of the 2021 AfroBasket Championship in Yaounde, Cameroun.

Games for the qualifiers has been scheduled between Feb. 10-13 where the top three teams in the four groups advance to the World Cup slated for Sep 22 - Oct. 1, 2022 in Sydney, Australia
