Cape Verde Victory Delay Super Eagles Last Round Qualification

November, 14 2021.

As the Super Eagles of Nigeria defeated Liberia with two goals on the Liberian soil, Cape Verde also won CAR, causing delay for the Super Eagles to qualify in the last round of the Qualifying matches.

Both team won their matches respectively. The Super Eagles with 12 points, needed just a point to scale through the last round of qualification.

Recall that Super Eagles defeated the black Shacks of Cape Verde in the first leg of World Cup qualifiers.

Victor Osimhen put the Super Eagles ahead in 15th minute after he converted from the spot. Eagles were awarded a spot kick after Liberia goalkeeper fouled Kelechi Iheanacho in the box with Napoli hitman, Osimhen, sending the keeper to wrong side as he slotted in the first goal.

Super Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa score, added time penalty to hand the Gernot Rohr-led team the much required three points but their joy was cut short with Cape Verde 2-1 win against CAR.

Can Super Eagles repeat same feat against the visitors come Tuesday the 16th November, 2021?
