Bundesliga: Victor Boniface Nets Goal No. 7, As Leverkusen Moves To the Top

October, 8 2023.

Bayer Leverkusen talismanic striker, Victor Boniface is enjoying life in the Bundesliga, as he scored the third goal in 3-0 victory against FC Cologne, on a Day-7 fixture of the German Bundesliga, played on Sunday.

Since arriving Germany, Boniface has become an hit and has been a threat, match after match for opposing defenders.

In today's game played at the Bayer Arena, the Super Eagles forward scored a spectacular third goal to seal the comfortable win and all three points for Xabi Alonso's side.

Leverkusen thus moved to the summit of the log, on the back of a 3-0 victory, with Jeremie Frimpong (32nd minute), and Jonas Hoffmann (22nd minute) the other scorers, before Boniface hard work was rewarded with a goal netted 67th minute against a hapless FC Cologne side, which remained rooted to the bottom of the table.

Bayer Leverkusen, with 18 points top the log, one point ahead of Vfb Stuttgart who are second with 18 points, one point clear of the duo of champions Bayern Munich (third) and Borussia Dortmund (fourth).

With the seventh goal of the season and a bright prospect of more to come in the weeks ahead, the 22-year-old Boniface is already living up to the rating of pundits, who have rated him as "a complete striker"; www.ckdmedia.ng reports.

Despite his bulky stature, the energetic goal poacher is seen as one of the summer buys of the Bundesliga this summer, and should he remain healthy and maintain his good form, he could easily be one of the young players whose quality could attract the best sides, in the top three European leagues, anytime soon.
