Contrary reports making the rounds that
some of officials of Bayelsa United football and journalists may miss the CAF confederation cup opener against AS Ashanti Golden Boys of Guinea in Conakry on Sunday, the Bayelsa state commissioner for youth and sports development, Honourable Daniel Igali has debunked such insinuations and termed it as very malicious and fallacious.
Honourable Daniel Igali told www.ckdmedia.ng that Bayelsa United is no longer going to Guinea for the first leg game.
"We will no longer be going to guinea for the first match we are in touch with Caf and there is a new development".
The award winning Super administrator stated that the tie is now a one leg tie according to Caf.
"We will only play one match and that will be at Sampson Siasia stadium"
He confirmed that the decision came from Caf due to the new travelling regulations which put some countries on red alert.
"The winner will move forward and we hope to take advantage of the opportunity of playing at home".
