Kano Pillars defeated Katsina United by a lone goal at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in the continuation of the abandoned Matchday 23 fixture.
Auwulu Ali Malam scored the only goal of the tensed encounter in the 90th minute, after a display of ingenuity by centre back, Abdullahi Musa.
Musa picked up a loose ball from the right flank, he sent in an accurate low cross into the box and it was met by Auwulu Ali, after a brilliant piece of foot work.
Katsina United came close to scoring after Omaka was played in but was flagged off.
Kano fought for their lives and held on to snatch all three points at stake.
The three points elevates Kano Pillars who will now travel to Remo Stars for their next game, as their relegation fight continues.
