Athletes got better treatment from the Government this time around in Tokyo, says Itsekiri Ushoritse

Nigerian Olympian and track and field star, Itsekiri Ushoritse has commend the Honourable Minister of Youth and Sports, Chief Sunday Dare for making welfare of athletes his priority before, during and after the Tokyo Olympics games in Japan.


The 100 meters sprinter says athletes got better treatment in Japan than previous outings.


"To be honest with you, we got better treatment in Tokyo, the Ministry paid all our entitlement and we have no reason to complain.


The Olympian laud Chief Sunday Dare for his giant strides and initiatives towards sports development in Nigeria.


"I am proud to be associated with what the Minister is doing for sports development in Nigeria.


"The welfare was a topnotch, the basic things we use to have problems with didn't resurface during or after the games.


Itsekiri commended Chief Dare for what he has put in place to restore Nigeria's sports to her glorious days.


"I think the Sports Ministry really did their best, they were proactive in putting things in right perspective through our early preparations for the games, and also mitigated and savage the attending issues that arise during the game."
