Set for heroic welcome from Governor Ododo and Reps. Member Hon. James Faleke.
The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Honorable Durosinmi Meseko, welcomed Ojo Olorunleke, one of the Super Eagles' goalkeepers from the recent African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote d’Ivoire, at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
The welcome event followed Olorunleke's official reception at the State House, where he was conferred with a national award by president Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Honorable Duro Meseko congratulated Ojo and his teammates for their dogged performance at the AFCOn where they won silver. He praised their dedication and patroitism in fighting for the nation at the continental showpiece.
Ojo will also be welcomed on Wednesday by the Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, and House of Representatives member , Hon. James Faleke.
In response, Olorunleke acknowledged Meseko's longstanding philanthropy and generosity, recalling how he received financial support of N50,000 from him to purchase his first football boots while playing at the local level in Kogi State years ago.
Extolling Meseko's virtues, Olorunleke presented him with the silver medal and expressed gratitude for his continuous support to his community.
