Amaju Promises Musa 10M Naira for reaching 100 appearance

Nigeria Football Federation President, Amaju Pinnick has declared that the football house will reward Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa with the sum of Ten Millon Naira (N10million) for attaining the feast of 100 caps for the Super Eagles.


The president made the declaration on the back of Nigeria 2 - 1 victory over Blue Sharks of Cape Verde where Ahmed Musa made his centenary appearance for the Senior Nation team.


Musa became only the third Nigerian footballer to reach a century of appearances for Super Eagles with a game behind legends Joseph Yobo and Vincent Enyeama who have 101 caps respectively for the Nigeria Senior National team.


In a statement released by Tobi Adepoju in Cape Verde; the NFF President promised to dole out a whopping Ten Million Naira to Super Eagles Skipper, Ahmed Musa who recorded his 100 appearance.


"The NFF will give Ahmed Musa N10 million for reaching the 100 caps. We will sustain this gesture and honor our players that hit 100 games henceforth."


Ahmed Musa made his senior team debut at 17 years on August 5, 2010, in a 2012 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier versus Madagascar when he came on as a substitute for Mikel Obi. Nigeria won the match 2-0.


Musa register his first goal for the Super Eagles in a friendly match in 2011 against Kenya.


The former Kano Pillars attacker has scored a total of 15 goals for the Super Eagles and he remains Nigeria’s highest goal scorer at the FIFA World Cup tournament with 4 goals.
