Chairman of the Presidential Task Force of the Junior National Team Alhaji Aminu Kurfi Balele charged the U20 team not to be distracted during the Christmas break.
According to the Former Chairman of Katsina United, "I came to visit you people before you go for holiday, to tell you that the task ahead is quite important. You are to play for yourselves in Africa Cup of Nations, play for our country, play for your family members and also play for your career.
“I don’t want you to be distracted when you observe the Christmas break. Don’t over eat, control your eating habits so that you can remain fit when you resume, come January”.
Alhaji Aminu Kurfi Balele who gave the team an undisclosed amount for Christmas celebration, urged the team to beat Nasarawa United on Thursday in a friendly match, Wikki Tourists on Friday, and Lobi Stars on Saturday.
He charged the team to try as much as they can to beat the three teams coming from Northern Nigeria.
"It is an avenue for you to showcase what you can do against formidable teams like the NPFL team”, Alhaji Balele said.
The astute administrator concluded by saying, “there is match bonuses if you win the three friendly matches. We are solidly behind you, so that you can do well in AFCON, come February next year”.
