Akwa Govt Rewards the Promise Keepers’ for clinching historical NPFL Title

Akwa United FC‘s effort for winning the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League has been crowned by the Akwa State Government.
A recent development confirmed that Governor Udom Emmanuel has fulfilled his promises, thereby boosting the clubs morale ahead of the new campaign by giving a 32-seater new bus to the club.
In addition to it, one plot of land each to all the players and officials with a cash reward of N100million for winning the NPFL title.
Kennedy Boboye‘s side set the pace last season, recording the longest unbeaten run of 18 games and also kept the most-clean sheets this campaign.
Akwa United were crowned champions of the 2020/2021 Nigeria Professional Football League season after producing a remarkable 5-2 victory over MFM FC in Uyo on matchday 37.
