AKURE STADIUM LOOKS SET TO EARN LMC'S APPROVAL

Sunshine Stars FC is upbeat the ongoing renovation and repair work at the Ondo State Sports Complex, Akure will help lift the LMC restriction on the stadium.

While the season opener against Wikki Tourists come a bit too soon for the facility upgrade, the management is working assiduously to ensure the facility get the league authority nod to host NPFL matches in the 2021/22 season.

Repair and revitalisation of the pitch is at the final stage while work is in full swing at the dressing room with the reserved (technical) bench certain to wear a new-look at the completion of the renovation.

The contractor handling the renovation has also assured the Club that work will be completed in around a week to possibly get the all clear for the team return to Akure for subsequent home matches.

Sunshine Stars will play host to the Elephants of Bauchi at the Dipo Dina Stadium in Ijebu Ode, Sunday.
