Agoye Rates IMC High, Targets Continental Ticket

June, 5 2023.

Following a disappointing performance in his first match in the ongoing Super Six Playoffs in Lagos, Sunshine Stars Coach, Olumide Edith Agoye has rated the IMC Committee led by Hon. Gbenga Elegbeleye high after the first round of matches.

The former Shooting Stars gaffer in his post match interview on the back of his 1-0 loss to NPFL defending Champions said; "I think it's a new dawn in the Nigeria top flight League as we have been able to witness some positive improvements in our matches, compared to what we witnessed in the past seasons.

"You saw the first round of matches and the improvements was obvious. It is on that note that I would like to commend and congratulate the effort of Honourable Gbenga Elegbeleye and the entire member of IMC on the sanity and transparency they have been able to restore to our football league.

"We have started witnessing positives since the beginning of the league and I want them to continue with the good job".

Agoye who believes his team deserved a point in his first match against the Pride of Rivers continued by saying nothing is lost yet as the championship is still wide open and their target is to give a good account of themselves and pick one of the continental tickets.

"That we narrowly lost our first game to Rivers United does not mean we are out, No! We are still very much in contention, as our target is to pick one of the continental tickets and we'll do everything possible to achieve it", Agoye declared.

Sunshine Stars will trade tackles with Bendel Insurance in their second game as the Super Six Championship continues. wwwckdmedia.ng report.
