Abubakar Abubakar, widely known as Dan Fulani, has been appointed as the Coordinator of Nigeria’s U20 men’s national team, the Flying Eagles, as they prepare for the upcoming WAFU U20 Tournament in Togo.
Abubakar, who currently serves as the Chairman of Gombe United, brings a wealth of experience to the role, having held various positions at top Nigerian clubs, including Enyimba, Sunshine Stars, El-Kanemi Warriors, and now Gombe United.
With a strong track record of leadership and success in Nigerian football, Abubakar is expected to play a crucial role in guiding the Flying Eagles’ preparations for the WAFU U20 tournament.
His previous collaboration with current Flying Eagles coach, Aliyu Zubairu, at Gombe United saw them lead the team to promotion to the NPFL, showcasing his ability to work effectively at the highest levels of the game.
